We left Tuesday afternoon and came home Friday. Unfortunately, it poured rain all day on Wednesday, but we still made the best of it and found some fun things to do. We visited the tiny little Seaside Aquarium and even attempted the beach in the rain (the kids lasted about 5 minutes). Then we woke up Thursday to partial sunny blue skies and hit the beach. Brandon had so much fun running on the sand, finding sticks, and climbing the grassy beach hills. It made me so happy seeing all the kids run around and the joy on their faces (which is very hard to capture on film because they have no interest in looking at the camera). We ate great food, took a couple short walks, visited the park a few times and even had a little picnic lunch on Friday before packing up and heading home. The trip went so fast, I wish we could have stayed longer. These last 2 days at lunch, Brandon has randomly started saying their names--"Keeye (Katy), Ila, and Aya (Ava)" and asking "back, back?" Meaning, are they coming back soon? It's the cutest thing, and I feel the same way. Brandon and I miss our friends so much and can't wait to see them again soon.

Oregon Coast
Last week, Katy and I took the kids to Cannon Beach. Katy's Mom Pam came with us too, and boy, was she a life saver. We couldn't have done it without her.
