Christmas eve--Blake Family Celebration

On Christmas eve, we had our big Christmas celebration with Josh's family. Larry (Josh's dad) cooked an amazing, gourmet meal and we opened all our presents. Traditionally, we eat dinner a little on the late side because of family work schedules and then open presents. But we did things a little differently this year now that we have a little 15 month old who gets tired before dinner would normally start. We let Brandon open (with the help of his Daddy) some of his presents early before heading off to bed. He wasn't sure whether he loved his new talking Elmo (his first present) or was scared of him, but he definitely enjoyed playing with wrapping paper and having so many loving family members around. Once he was sound asleep, we had our fabulous dinner and got down to business opening gifts. We were also missing two very important people this year. Uncle Justin and Aunt Cynthia decided to stay in Phoenix and celebrate with Cynthia's family this year. They were definitely close to our hearts and we missed them tons!
